Even after losing her own voice, her lessons echoed louder than any broadcast. On this Mother’s Day, I remember not just the broadcaster the nation heard, but the mother who raised my voice.

Women were never missing from art history. They were edited out. Now the frame is widening, and the record is being corrected.
